On February 8, 1724, by order of Peter the Great, the Academy of Sciences and Arts was founded. This date became the birthday of Russian science. Over the past 300 years, many significant discoveries have been made that have literally changed the world. And today, highly qualified specialists in science-intensive industries continue to open new horizons of knowledge. District Governor Grigory Artamonov toured the operations of one of the district's 15 science-intensive industries, JSC NPO UNIKHIMTEK, and presented municipal awards to its workforce.

Thus, a small state-owned enterprise founded by outstanding researchers from Moscow State University in 1990, based on an industry laboratory, has grown into a large-scale Russian production facility. Today, over 800 employees are engaged in the development and production of non-metallic composite materials used in all areas of industry, including aviation and space. This rapid growth has been made possible, in part, by the close-knit team.

At a meeting with the company's employees, the head of Podolsk thanked everyone for their contribution to scientific development.
