On November 21, 2025, the 9th All-Russian Scientific and Technical Conference "Polymer Composite Materials and Next-Generation Manufacturing Technologies" was held at the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center – VIAM. The conference focused on research in the development of polymer composite materials for aviation and rocket and space applications. The conference attracted over 180 specialists from 58 leading industrial enterprises and research institutes across the Russian Federation. During the event, participants discussed challenges and prospects in developing new polymer composite materials, modern processing equipment for polymer composite materials, the use of additive and automated technologies, and improving inspection and repair methods for polymer composite structures.
Aleksey Valerievich Kepman, CEO of ITEKMA LLC, delivered a presentation titled "Composite Materials for the Space Industry," highlighting the achievements of ITEKMA LLC, TsSKT LLC, and INUMiT JSC (part of the UNIHIMTEK Group of Companies) in developing composite molding tools for LTEs, a prototype composite cryogenic tank made from B180 autoclave-free prepreg, and sections of the aerodynamic shell for the Orel spacecraft's command and propulsion modules using ITEKMA's bismaleimide materials system. Conference participants noted the practical significance of ITEKMA's solutions for aviation and rocket and space technology, as well as the company's successful collaboration with leading Roscosmos enterprises, which facilitates the development of advanced materials and technologies.
