Epoxy aerosol adhesive KS22 for fixing layers of reinforcing fillers when laying out preforms for vacuum infusion and for fixing auxiliary materials when assembling vacuum bags.
KS22 epoxy aerosol adhesive is simple and easy to use. It speeds up and facilitates the layup of complex-shaped parts. It is specifically designed for bonding reinforcing filler layers during the layup of vacuum infusion preforms and for bonding auxiliary materials during vacuum bag assembly. It is fully compatible with infusion epoxy adhesives, does not impede the impregnation process, does not degrade the mechanical properties of polymer composites, and does not cause delamination or other defects with localized overapplication.
Features and Benefits
Designed for temporary fixation of reinforcing fillers and auxiliary materials
Compatible with all types of epoxy binders
For the production of PCM products using vacuum infusion and RTM methods
Leaves no marks on the surface of products
Does not impair the mechanical properties of PCM even with heavy deposits
Does not reduce the impregnation of preforms
Recommendations for use
Shake the can before use. Apply the adhesive from a distance of 20-30 cm from the surface. The adhesive loses tack within 2-48 hours, depending on environmental conditions. The adhesive provides sufficient tack with a moderate application rate of approximately 2.5 g/m². Application rate may vary depending on the surface density of the reinforcing filler. It is recommended to avoid localized excess application.
Storage and transportation conditions
Store at temperatures from -35°C to +40°C, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. The adhesive has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production, provided storage conditions are met.
Cooling the adhesive to sub-zero temperatures may cause a reversible deterioration in adhesive properties. If the adhesive has cooled, it is recommended to keep it at room temperature for at least 24 hours.
